i would like to release the next version of nc6 ASAP. i would call it
0.3.0, as this jump in the versioning system reflects a major improvement
in the architecture of the software.

as i'd like to release nc6 0.3.0 at most in late january, we should reach
a "feature freeze" condition __really__ soon. stated this, what features
would you like to include in the next nc6 release?

from my point of view, we should simply merge your chris_refactor_291202
branch in the main trunk and perform some testing/bugfixing.

i would schedule the following features:

- add support for execution of programs
- add inetd-like continuos listening mode
- ascii and hexdump logging of connections
- ssl support
- simple (maybe even advanced/stealth?) portscanning
- UDP path mtu discovery support
- simple telnet support?
- plugin capability

for the next releases (the first three in 0.4.0, the following two in
0.5.0, and the last three when possible).

what do you say?
