Ok - merged.  I've done some basic testing and all seems well.

You can do some very interesting things with specifying the buffer-size 
and the mtu in UDP mode, like:

./nc6 -l -u --buffer-size=4 -p 8765
./nc6 --mtu=5 -u localhost 8765

Drops every 5th character ;-)
