[ds6] Multicasting over IPv6 - Linux

Hello

I have written some application over IPv6 which uses multicasting (MLD) 
but it seems like there is something missing (!) as packets do not get
through to the reveivers :-)

Does Linux currently (2.4.20) support IPv6 multicasting, or do I need to
run my server on BSD?
I understand that this field changes every day so any link or hint can 
be of great help.
