Hello list,
I have a need for configuring an ISATAP tunnel between two computers on a
local network. This isn't a practical application - it's for testing.
I'm not finding much recent information about ISATAP in Linux, so my first
question is, does Linux support ISATAP?
My second question is this: I have configured a tunnel between two Linux
computers. Ifconfig shows the encapsulation as "IPv6-in-IPv4". How can I tell
what kind of 6 in 4 encapsulation this is? For all I know it already is
ISATAP.
Perhaps you will tell me that the difference between ISATAP and the other
(6over4?) is only relevant for how the routers are configured and discovered,
and since I'm not really doing that there is no difference.
Thanks for any advice,
Michael
